Collection: Crocuses
Crocuses are much loved by bees and bumblebees. You are really helping our pollinator friends when you plant crocuses in abundance as this early in the year there are very few other flowers for our pollinators to feast on.
The leaves of the crocus actually only develop after flowering. If you would like the crocuses to come back the next year, the leaves should not be mowed until the end of May.
In principle: as many new bulbs are formed as there are sprouts on the planted bulb. How many flowers these bulbs will produce next year and how big these flowers will be all depends on the local conditions.
