Collection: Hyacinths

Hyacinths (Hyacinthus orientalis) can be planted in the garden, in containers outdoor or in pots or glasses indoors.

To get hyacinths to bloom indoors, they must first be placed in a cool place for 8 weeks after planting (darkness is not necessary, only a temperature below 12ºC is important).

The bulb sizes we offer are not very big. This results in flowers that are perhaps a little less heavy than you are used to. However, they have the advantage that they are less likely to fall over and they look much more natural. The giant hyacinths you may know from the Keukenhof in Holland are all kept upright with an iron pin.
