Liatris spicata, also known as the prairie feather, gay feather or button snakewort, blooms in the period July-August with stiffly upright pink spikes.
Blooms from top to bottom with small lilac flowers. The length of these ears is usually between 40 and 60 cm and has narrow, grass-like leaves. Liatris is suitable for the garden, in containers or pots for the balcony and terrace, but also very suitable as a cut flower.
Liatris does well in most types of garden soil, can be planted in sun or partial shade and is winter hardy.
Very attractive to bees and butterflies.
